Everyone at UFO investigations took part is interested to be found out, an how so "flying saucer" could probably function. The scientists try to understand the assumed technologies and also - would be extremely interesting which for military - to find out, as this UFO`s could be propelled, because they maneuver partly also for us inconceivable accelerations and speeds and are extremely agile thereby, them to have apparently the ability to float, rapidly to accelerate and abruptly turn the direction also in extremely high speed and in an angle of 90°. By witnesses on adventurous flight maneuvers is reported again and again, so as if they want to say us "look, what we can do everything".

If our science could duplicate the assumed UFO technology, that would cause a profound change of our way of life on earth, because transport be revolutionized, we could manufacture own propulsion technologies, with which we could arrive without problems within fewer minutes from one side of our planet at the other, but also larger interstellar journeys to other planets of our solar system could be made possible. Beyond that it would mean tremendous progress within the ranges of the energy production, medicine, metallurgy, physics etc... In nearly each case were missing to the hypotheses the mathematical correctness, which is necessary, so that they are experimentally examined.  
A locking hypothesis of this problem would have to fulfill four criteria: First of all it must fit adequately on all at present available data over the structure of the UFO`s and its manifestation; secondly it would not have to be conclusive in itself might other part of the hypothesis contradict; thirdly it UFO referred phenomena, which originally was not used for the formulation of the hypothesis, must be able to explain,; and fourth must the hypothesis details enough to be, in order to be able to be disproved experimentally examined or. So far some researchers report, are in and the saved flight disks fallen allegedly no drive, cable, electronics, fuel, control members or wings, even not times to something like provisions, recognizably or identifiably. If the UFO had a dead weight of ten tons, then its engines would have had to produce a thrust of approximately 620.000 kg. Its engines would have had to deliver an output of 27.36 million HP or 20.000 megawatts achievement. This achievement would be equivalent to 2.500 jet engines by Pratt & Whitney with 11.000 HP each, those for the drive of the B-52 of long-range bomber of the USA to be used or about twenty 1.000 megawatt nuclear power stations with maximum power work!"

The production such enormous energies within a small spaceship are almost inconceivable for us. Here one considers another theory, those of the so-called "hyperjump".
Theoretically it is possible to curve by high gravitation the area that starting point and the endpoint move each other closer to the area are so far distorted that they -  for the generator operator - lie directly together, as a metal spring for example, whose ends we press together. One needs "to slide" now no longer pedantically over the whole metal, but make only a step over the together lying ends. The actual transition would be then for example also through magnetic fields stabilized "wormholes" conceivablly. If one switches now the gravitational field off, the area relaxes again and one concerned immediately in this way at the goal, without considerable time delay.

Here so some research tasks for the future lie, because wormholes or the idea of the hyperjump are so far only possible theoretical-astronomical conceptions and therefore it still its time will last, until any attempts are feasible in the laboratory. Likewise theoretical are the production of antimatter or the
manipulation of the gravitation. Times sees, what in next time at modern propulsion technology is able to realize our science, because in 10 or 15 years NASA wants to start a manned mission to Mars. With the past rocket propulsions one would have to carry unbelievable quantities of fuel over also again surely home to come. Perhaps flow up to then today after Science Fiction sounding technologies also and open new ways to interstellar space journeys of
our species. But we look nevertheless times, what gives it to alternative propulsion technology at NASA (of those some technologies also possible drives of hypothetically extraterrestial flight disks are could) momentarily new:

NASA works already for some time not only to newer propulsion technologies, but also to a more modern successor in the meantime nevertheless of the already 20 years old space shuttle. The new techniques must become smaller, more easily, more quickly, more economical and above all cheaper. If one builds lighter and smaller power supply units, one has more place for the crew and more free weight reserves for transport in the universe. In order to be able to accomplish more effective transportation in the universe in the near future, it requires intensive research. Therefore president Bill Clinton signed 1994 national the space Transportation Policy, the starting point for the establishment of the ASTP. Therefore future spacecraft should be
equipped with materials, which cause a cooling at the outer hull. Materials, which withstand temperatures of over 2.200 °C, are already available.

Also lighter drive materials are to reduce the weight. In the future one sets more on a drive with electrically charged particle (ions). The ion drive builds itself up from an ion gun, in which neutral atoms, cesium, mercury or xenon, by stripping an electron or several electrons from the atomic shell into ions are predominantly transformed. These are accelerated by an electrode system and to know a terminal velocity of 69 km/s to reach in this way.
On quite different principle the sunsail are based. They are to move themselves by the wind, which is produced by the sun, in the universe. The sun sends two kinds of wind on the way: on the one hand the light itself, which becomes apparent as photon pressure, and on the other hand the solar wind, which consists of a continuous particle stream, (after newest realizations is this solar wind approx. 4 billion years ago the former atmosphere Mars to have blew out). This solar wind leaves the sun with approximately 200 mps and paints by the entire planet system. To catch the experts want the solar wind with a breath-thin sail, which from a aluminium cape captone foil covered lightweight construction exists. The pulsed laser beams were bundled thereby by the parabolically formed tail of the Lightrcraft in a circular chamber. Air flowed from the outside into the chamber, which was heated up by the laser light to a bluish shining plasma with a temperature up to 30.000 °C. This procedure happened in a fraction of one second, so that air heated up escaped like an explosion. There is to already be concepts to the building of laser starter systems on the moon and Mars.

The products of the nuclear fission could be used also to heat up or produce over a special generator river a drive gas. However, so Ronen in its article, represents it at present still another problem to produce the rare isotope from plutonium 241 and americium 241 - a complex and expensive process, which led so far only to small quantities americium 242m.

Einstein described the effects, which a spaceship, which moves with approximately speed of light in his relativity theory, would have on whom spacemen. From it results that for the spaceman the time - relative to us on earth - would pass more slowly, the slower, the longer the relativistic interstellar space flight would last:
       10 years in spaceship      =          25 years on earth
       15 years in spaceship      =          80 years on earth
       20 years in spaceship      =         270 years on earth
       25 years in spaceship      =         910 years on earth
       30 years in spaceship      =       3100 years on earth
       35 years in spaceship      =     10600 years on earth
